About

Hi! Iβm Kylie β a dog-loving Seattleite, originally from Austin, Texas. ππ²
By day, Iβm a Senior Product Manager at Yahoo, driving search growth β from integrations across first-party experiences to targeted improvements to the search results page. Search has become a career-long thread: before Yahoo, I was a PM at DoorDash working on search user experiences, helping people find anything they need locally. Before that, I was a PM at Code.org, building the programming tools β App Lab, Sprite Lab, and Game Lab β that K-12 students use to learn computer science. And I started my career at Microsoft, working on both Windows and Bing, where my search experiences included the results for queries about COVID-19 and the 2020 election.
Outside of work, Iβm an individual with many hobbies β I could write a book about them all (and in fact, writing a novel is one of them). A few highlights:
Music is my oldest hobby and a reliable constant in my life. I love listening to it, singing along, and making it myself. My first instrument was the recorder in elementary school, then the violin, and in middle school I found my love for the flute. Ever since, Iβve been a flautist performing in symphonic wind ensembles, orchestras, and smaller groups including an all-flute choir. Most recently, Iβve been learning and performing in a jazz tango ensemble taught by an amazing bandoneon instructor β we perform every few months at The Royal Room, a local jazz club. Iβve dabbled in arranging pieces, and hope to one day try composing.
Disc golf is my newest hobby. Iβd noticed the baskets around local parks for years, but only recently tried it β and now itβs become a weekly ritual in my household. My husband, Adrian, has fallen in love with the sport too, and our two dogs often join us on the course. Recent personal record: three (3!!!) pars over 18 holes.
I also paint, sew, doodle dress designs, and generally collect ideas faster than I can act on them.
